Emily Hileman and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day

April 13, 2010
Chapter 1:
Doc's Office
I went to the doctor, and I hate hate going to the doctor. He was really nice and helpful. He told me a lot of things. All bad. Firstly, that my chest pains is MOST likely because I have pnemonia. I have pnemonia? Really? Hmm.I felt ok minus the pain. So my guess is that when i was sick 2 weeks ago, I had pnemonia and didn't know it. And now it's still there, just clearing up. Problem 2 was my heart rate. My pulse was 134. Awesome, right? Because of my history with heart troubles and such, he can't really recommend a medication or tell me that this has anything to do with my heart problem. That hopefully it's just from the pnemonia, and that i should go see my cardiologist when I get back to Colorado. So that's good. Hopefully I don't die in the next month.

Chapter 2:
Cheering Up
Doctor tried to cheer me up by telling me a funny tale. He said that each person gets so many heart beats in their lifetime. Some of us take them slowly and live long, and some of us use them up really fast. ..... that's comforting? you just told me that right this very second, and for most of my life, I've been using up my heartbeats. ..... So what, i'm gonna die tomorrow?

Whilst talking on the phone with my dad my dad, he told me "don't worry. You're fine. If anything, you'll be set for 10 years. Maybe 20. 10-20 years that you'll for sure be ok" and we was being serious. I think he means i can go that long and not do anything like take meds or get surgery. still, though. See ya when I'm 30, grim reaper. I'll bring chips! You grab some sodas.

Chapter 3:
Trabajo
I went to work after the appointment and after picking up my newly prescribed medication from the pharmacy. They said start it right away, so I got to work and took it. I had a granola bar with me, so I ate that too. I thought I'd be ok. BOY was I wrong. I was dizzy and light headed all night long. And my stomach was turning the entire time. I kept eating waffle cones. It was like a crazy case of the munchies, i thought if I kept eating i'd feel better. But they did nothing.
It didn't help that for over an hour there was literally a line that went out the door. Everyone was super friendly and I got the orders through really fast, and yet I got ZERO tips. Humph.
I got in my car at 10 o'clock after finally closing shop, and started crying. I felt awful. I ached everywhere and I was tired and restless and hungry and sick. I was thinking, "that doctor was SMART, he knew i was sick before I actually was!"
I went on to have a terrible nights sleep. And crazy insane dreams. Woah. They were strange. I Woke up feeling even worse. Took more drugs. Threw up a few times. Groggily drove to the gas station and bought soda and saltine crackers. Moped around all day. And then realized why I felt so sick.
I was allergic to the medication they gave me. So I called in and got a new medication. This one cost 4x's as much as the first, and only has 6 pills instead of the first set of 20. What crap! But immediately I started feeling better.
WORST DAY(s) EVER!!!!! It was hell. Oh man, I can't even try to fully explain.

But let me tell ya, I'm glad to be feeling better! And glad to have a smart dadio that helped me every step of the way.

Life is Good, when you're breathing ;)
