Today was good. Then I woke up.

THE BAD
I am taking significantly less credits than I was last semester.  Turns out 19 credits and a job aren't compatible.  The transition from last year to this year was a little ridiculous.  And by "little" I mean crazy, absurd, unbelievable, ridiculous.  My tire got stolen.  The airline scheduled my flights such that I had 18 minutes between two of my 4 flights, making me miss the connecting flight, which was to a city that was completely booked in and out the whole day, which made me miss the next next flight, which cancelled the rest of my itinerary, which made me buy a completely new ticket to Hawaii from where I was.  I got yelled at by a mean Hawaiian lady; if I were to put it in comparable terms I would say that she is the penny of human beings - completely worthless.  She's like a super mean, unhappy, rude penny.  All my stuff, and Joel's stuff, is still sitting at said lady's home and we haven't been able to get it back yet.  I don't have a towel, so I air-dry if nobody is home or I use a blanket.  I went to get new tires only to discover that everything is wrong with my car, including the wonderful news that the freaking little Jack Russell that stole my tire took the entire rim also.  So I'm still driving on my  spare while the new rim is shipped from the factory on the mainland.

THE GOOD
Yikes.  That turned sour.  I don't mean to complain.  More than anything I want to contrast all of that shizz with all of the wonderful things that have also been happening in my life.  I had a wonderful Christmas; I got to see almost everyone in my family, including all 4 of my grandparents and 6 of my nieces and nephews.  That doesn't happen very often! I saw many of my wonderful Colorado friends, some of whom I hadn't seen in 1-3 years.  When looking for a new flight to Hawaii Payce found a miracle ticket that I am convinced wasn't real.  It had to be a miracle.  It was 1/3 the price of all the other tickets available and couldn't be found on any other site.  I came home to a beautiful, vibrantly colorful island and moved into my new house.  My first night back was hell.  Everything about that day had gone wrong.  To name a few of the minor issues - I had no car, no food, and no toilet paper.  A friend lent me their car so I didn't have to deal with my 3-tire auto-no-mobile.  Then I was cheered up by friends that didn't even know I was having a hard day.  Those same friends made me a "Sack lunch" that lasted 4 days... no joke.  I had food for 4 days just from that bag, and it was incredible.  The next day another friend gave me toilet paper.  The week definitely had it's ups and downs, but I am overwhelmingly thankful for all of the help along the way that kept me going.

THE GREAT
Joel came back on Friday and every day since then has been nothing less of superb.  Illogical as it may be, we have spent almost all of the past 3 days together.  We had no schedule, but the excellent thing was that we didn't just sit around.  We took advantage of every minute.  Amongst the many things that we did I particularly liked Sunday; we went to church, played Farkle (an excellent game played with 6 dice) at my favorite spot on campus, went on a particularly beautiful and lovely long walk, recorded a song on garageband, had tea, and watched Monsters VS Aliens (one of the best animations there is!).  Today was also great.  Who am I kidding, every day is great.  Today I accidentally stole a Snickers bar from Foodland... but then I went back and payed for it later.  Hahaha!  School was good.  Then I made brownies in the kitchen that I have now (SO thrilled to be out of the dorms).  Boys aren't allowed in my house, which poses a problem, but regardless of the rule Emily and Matt came over and Em and I made the boys dinner while they sat on the porch.  Apparently I didn't know how to cook chicken, but Emily is a pro and she learned me good.  I think I can easily say that it was the best meal I've ever cooked.  We had an excellent time talking and hanging out.  After dinner we threw some brownies in a baggy and Joel and I headed down to Kaneohe to see the second Sherlock Holmes movie.  And now I'm blogging and eating more brownies.

COULD LIFE GET GOOD-ER?
