not vague

The other day someone asked me if I ever complain. Well come on, I am human, of course I complain! However I do try to keep it under wraps. Things don't tend to upset me unless they are malicious actions directed at me, or they genuinely and purposefully ruin or upset my plans or life.  So basically, it takes a lot to really get me peeved.

Particularly on this blog (of which the whole premise is based on Life being GOOD!) I try to avoid complaining publicly.  It's not really that big of a challenge, because I don't particularly want people to know all the bad things that do indeed take place every day. Why reminisce on the bad, only to allow the bad thoughts and feelings to linger longer? When it comes to sharing the negative aspects of my life's events with you I am often vague (if not absent) in details. In fact, during the worst moments and experiences and bad days, weeks, and months of my life, I go back and discover I posted nothing. I think that's rather unfortunate because it's not an accurate representation of my life. So today I'll change that. Sort of.

Today I am proving that I do complain. But before I come out and start complaining, I'd like to stamp this post with my usual --
LIFE IS GOOD
-- Because truly, it is! Even when the
going gets rough and the rough gets tougher.  Life is still good! Sometimes the toughest part is being able to find the good in everything. But no matter what, Life is Good!

For a few days now I have been working on this post in my mind, piecing it together and organizing my thoughts,  but now as I'm typing I realize that I don't have it in me to get too particular with the details. It's just not how I do. So let's get this over with in one sentence.

-----------------------------------------

My feet are painfully blistered from terrible work shoes my car broke down Tyson he dumped me I can't afford anything my grandma passed away today I'm always tired my home-state is on fire.

BUT

I'm getting promoted at work, and I make double what I would at any other job. My car is now fixed, and running, and getting me where I need to go. Tyson and I are still friends and honestly he probably did what I couldn't do, I just didn't realize till after he did it. I'm learning extremely valuable lessons on budgeting and prioritizing and I will not soon forget the importance of living life in accordance with what you have. My beautiful Grandma Hatch, after a beautiful, long journey here on earth, has peacefully returned to Heavenly Father. She is no doubt up in Heaven jamming on the organ this very second, teaching all the angels how to play! Feeling tired makes me feel lazy, which makes me feel guilty, so I tend to get more done! And as for Colorado burning to the ground... well... that part just plain sucks.  No good in that.

So you see, there really is no point in complaining. Only YOU can guarantee that you'll have a good day, every day. Only YOU can decide to look at the good in the bad, instead of the good or the bad. Only YOU can build yourself something better out of broken pieces. And every day will have it's problems, and it's "What the JALEPENO!" moments, and the brief seconds where you might maybe want to punch a baby. And guess who is totally justified in feeling bad and upset and mistreated and lonely and disappointed and frustrated? You!  Just don't let it linger, don't let it fester and grow and most importantly, don't let it infect other people, and don't let it effect what you do next. Just breath it in, breath it out, and move forward. ***

-----------------------------------------

And now, with that out of my mind, I'm going to bed. Because let's be real here -- my week sucked! I'm not in the best of moods and I aint afraid to say it!

life is ALWAYS good

***When I say "YOU", I don't mean you alone.  YOU is a relative term.  YOU is all-inclusive of yourself, Heavenly Father, your friends and your family, and even pets and animals.  YOU is you because of the people around you, making you who YOU are!

What a great picture there at the bottom. :) The fires are getting contained slowly but surely. It's just nature's way. I just love you up and we missed you so much this week when Amy was here. I've got to figure out how to convince everyone to move to this magnificent (albeit charred) state... that is my master plan! See you Friday!
