I have some serious catching up to do on this here blog.

But hey, while you're waiting for me to get my act together and fill this website with my random, mostly unhelpful, comedic, blabber about my life... learn about Jason Mraz's life!

Jason Mraz has been near and dear to my heart since middle school. His music (along with that of Jack Johnson and Nickel Creek) got me through some rough times. I would listen to these artists for hours and hours until I fell asleep, or while I drove aimlessly around Colorado to clear my head. Sometimes their tunes would drone out my thoughts when I needed a break from chaos. Sometimes their words would accompany my thoughts as I tried to piece things together. But no matter what the situation, the voice of Jason Mraz was always close by.

I love discovering that their music has inspired their own lives, as well! This little interview with Jason Mraz goes through the creation of the song "Remedy" that was first released in 2003. I always thought it was about a girl. Actually, I really never gave it much thought at all. So I was surprised to find out that Mraz was inspired by one of his childhood friends, who was fighting cancer at the time. If you watch the video all the way through you'll learn that his friend fought long and hard and eventually was clean from the cancer! Mraz has an angelic voice, incredible talent, and fantastic lyrics. Enjoy.
